Custom furniture and wooden bow ties
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Started as delivery man for Ethan Allen. Promoted to touch up and repair (5 years). Started my own business in 1979. My wooden bow tie business started after I made a tie for my daughters graduation from medical school. Everyone loved it. I made 18 ties for her wedding and then the business was born.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I cater to retail, designers and high end clients. My wooden bow ties are different than everyone I've seen. All hand made without the cloth "knot" . Mine are all wood. Beautiful !!!
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
1 location. I will expand my line of bow ties and will soon have hair bows for women, children and bows for dogs and cats.
