What a great little quilt shop! There are so many beautiful goodies here that each and every time I enter the store I see something I didn't see before! My favorite are the baskets and baskets of fat squares which allow you to put together amazing squares without having to be creative at matching colors (which I am not : ) Rita, the owner, is there to make you feel right at home and help whenever needed or allow you to browse, whatever your pleasure. All your quilting needs under one roof, what a great find!

I've really enjoyed Rita's store. I have been to this shop several times for classes and fabric. Rita is a very friendly and patient teacher. I personally love the pets. If I had my own shop I would do things exactly the same way. She always has soft music playing. It is a very cozy, homey atmosphere. The fabrics in store are quality. The only drawback for me would be the amount of fabrics she has on hand. While there are a lot to choose from I would still like more variety. I would definitely suggest if you are interested in quilting to take a class from Rita! She will teach you how to do it right!

I have been in Quiltsmiths many times. I can always find what I am looking for (and not looking for :o) when I come in, and I appreciate the unhurried ...personal attention I get every time I go there. In addition to a large variety of fabrics, patterns, notions and books, I find the owner to be very knowledgeable, patient and warm.

I have been a customer there for over 5 years and their fabrics are top notch and maybe 5% are geared to children.
I go there because when I make my selections I know that if I run into a "snag", I can return for assistance so that I ...can get help and complete my quilt.
I have successfully completed 8 beautiful quilts using this shop's resources. I can buy fabric anyhwhere, but often I am in need of more than fabric... I need HELP! (and a well-seasoned quilter)

I have been quilting for many years. Quiltsmiths has a small to medium collection of 100% cotton fabrics from the best brands on the market. The shop seems to be a one person operation which can cause a wait at times. The owner is very knowledgable and will help size up or down any pattern. They also coordinate machine quilting services transportation. The shop is decorated by over 5 dozen beautiful quilts made by the owner.

Oh my, what a cute little shop. Good selection of fabrics covering all styles and types, except the bright, modern, and garish. Many Batiks, 30's reproductions, and top brand prints.
The lady working there (the owner?) was pleasant and helpful, and patient.
Off street parking right in front of the shop. It was very hot the week I visited, and they had a nice chair and a selection of cold drinks were offered. And the cute dog let me pet her and shake her paw.
Funerals are an ordeal, and driving 700 miles one way in extreme heat makes it miserable, but the opportunity to sit and rest, and grieve a bit while surrounded by fabric and quilters was what got me through it. And the ice cold Coke was welcome too.
Thanks,
Betsey from Atlanta
